I'm ON A SHIP!!!!

I know, I know I haven’t put the addresses on yet, but I will do it in time for all of you to try to send me letters to me in either China or Vietnam. Or should I say you can try to send me letters. I know I need to send emails to people but I’m having a hard time remembering who.

Hears a little on the shiplife so far:

All hallways look the same so getting lost is quite easy

My roomy is nice fairly neat and doesn’t snore (insert collective YAY! Here)

The ship does rock and some people are getting seasick but not many. I took a non sea sick thing last night and that seems to work for me. Something about laying in bed while the boat rocks made me think I might need one. Eating food helps too. And I guess after a few days you get ur sea legs or whatever. In the mean time I’ve learned to enjoy this whole side to side motion.

Our first “aft-ter hours” pub night thing is tm but most of u no I would rather get a large ice cream than a bad beer for 250 any day : )

Me and this girl named Ruby are going to start a self defense class. She’s a third or second degree so she could kick my but and I’m really excited to get back into tae kwon do.

Rooms are small, but there’s a place for everything. It gets pitch black because there’s no window, the beds are okay and I’m really glad I brought my pillow (I’m not the only one too), small fridge for cokes and things, the tv plays the same two sad depressing documentaries over and over and over not to mention the map which is kind of cool (it shows the location of the ship in the world)…

Today was all orientation and it couldn’t have been any more boring. Informative but boring. We had an orientation on activities, classes, global studies, field excursions, and I think one more, and they were all an hour long. I cant wait till class starts tomorrow.

Anyway, I feel good today, I went to the gym and worked out a bit, but discovered you had to sign up for a machine b/c there are only so many. So I settled for the thingy and reserved the other thingy for tm morning. I don’t wanna come home fat! :)

Mom I had to use ur credit card for my appstate application bc it wouldn’t take amer express. But don’t worry the amer express is hooked up to all charges I make on the ship!! :)

Just wanted to say....

I'm about to send my blog address to a whole bunch of people and i'm going to put it up on facebook. Before i do i wanted to ask that everyone keep their comments PG rated. PLEASE!! my family and a 6th grade class at my old middle school will be looking at this blog while i'm gone and well y'all know how that goes :) so be good and write me letters! my next post will be the addresses of the ports so i can get mail! AND I WANT MAIL!!! at least try!!! and um......i'm going to try to add wedding pics to my webshots account tomorrow too! my sis looked absolutely BEAutiful!!!!! a real southern belle! I didn't want the party to end because i knew that wen it did, it would be the last time i see her for 3 months! and tonight is one of the last of 3 i'll have with my dad and kitties!!! but i REFUSE to waste time being homesick on this trip and will try my best to see thru to this!!! i wish i could see the professional shots of the wedding wen they come in but i'll be on SAS!!!!

And to the class at Merritt (which i hope i'm spelling correctly; wen i went there it was Talent House): Please ask me questions about things your curious about reguarding the countries i'm visiting. I'm not sure if class has started there or not yet, but I hope you have a good first semester (1st and 2nd quarter i guess) and really enjoy learning different things since your in middle school now!!

oh--and another note--i'm not going to edit my entries before i post them and i'm not going to waste time with grammar and spelling and all that jazz (sorry mrs. potts). and my speeling is atrociouse :P anywho my goal is to just tell u wat i did as fast as i can get it down b/c this trip is only so long and i prefer to write in my journal/sketchbook anyway!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

OMG!! I cant blieve it!!!!!! i'm leaving in less than a month! and my sis is getting married in less than 2 WEEKS!!! will post mailing information soon! i think i'm going to mail myself something to the first port. just to see wat it's like and know that a postcard i sent myself traveled all the way to Japan just to meet back up with me! does that make sense :) anymore more on this after i give out my blog address to more of my friends. AHHHHHHHH!!!
